I'm suffering from builders' block at the moment, so I thought I'd review one of the more oddball models in the stash

Wingspan 220mm, length 130mm.

Comes in a rather flimsy end opening box...............

Instructions - A5 colour booklet - looks pretty good, but will require careful study!

One sprue onlyDSCF2446.JPG
Decals - mostly for the UK air cadets schemes!

I'll be posting detail shots & comments momentarily!

This is a short run kit, detail is good, but you do have flash, so careful clean up will be needed

Wings & tail have some nice rib details, may be overdone, but should take a wash nicely.

There are some very fine partsDSCF2451.JPGDSCF2447.JPG
Quite large ingates means careful removal.
And to the nasty bit!

The difficult part of this will be the rigging - the instructions look clear enough, but aren't for the timid! This is a short run kit, so I have no doubt that a lot of trimming & dry fitting will be needed, so not for the beginner.
Special Hobby also do this in 1/72 - same subjects, but I think you may be a masochist to try & build that!
I got this off ebay for a discount ( enough for p&p ), and is widely available.

If you find this interesting/useful, I might do some more inbox reviews of the more esoteric models in my stash, ones which I haven't seen inbox reviews for.
Thoughts?

Good luck with that one Dave when you get round to it. Looks extremely fragile!

Looks interesting Dave and only requires that all align at 90 degrees. The PE should be easily attached and looks like its frame fasteners just like the real thing with bolts already in place.

Cheers,
Richard

Interesting subject Dave. Detail looks good, but mould lines are quite prominent on such delicate parts so clean up will be time consuming…will be lovely when it’s built though.
