I recall it having quite a few nice shots of the interior, good for reference.Weak story line - original was Bogart as a US tank commander during the retreat from El Alamein, no water so must find some in the desert. Pick up mixed bag of nationalities/ personalities as they go - oh, and fight the dastardly Nazis on the way! All live happily ever after as the water fairy smiles benevolently on them just in time!
A little searching leads me to think they are common in Central and Southern Europe. This photo, for example, was apparently taken in Split, Croatia:
