Firstly many thanks to Geoffers for organising and hosting this GB.
Was torn between this Mustang and a '66 Chevrolet Corvette so if there's any time left might have a crack at 2 builds.
This kit has been widely lauded in the media as being very detailed, very well engineered, easier to assemble than Revells norm and accurate with beautiful Italian sourced decals.

This build will be based on my friend Peter's car. It will be finished in medium metallic green with the silver stripes ( presuming I can match the colour for the painted silver areas. Will not use the seat belt decals and try to make up some and will tint the windows slightly blue as per the 1:1.

Obligatory images to follow.

OK, made a start with the bodywork as usual.
All parts that will be metallic green or silver removed, minor clean up and mould line removal. Fitted the tailamp panel and rear lower panel into place as the floorpan will go in with them in situ however front lower panel has to be fitted after floorpan.
Front spoiler fitted to panel and rear one assembled, holes drilled and test fitted.
Visible ejector pin marks filled with Tamiya putty.
Thanks for looking.

Big old 70's US Muscle car - goes fast in a straight line, cornering, more of an adventure. But those big V8's sound great.

Yes you are quite right about "grip" when cornering and IIRC the brakes were vastly over- servoed and either on or off. But the noise and straight line acceleration were intoxicating and you became very good friends with the local fuel station staff.

An iconic car for long straight US roads. Looks a nice kit. Off to a fine start.

Flatted down the ejector pin marks, scribes deeper panel/trim lines and sprayed 3 coats ProScale back microfiller primer. Hopefully green paint tomorrow.
