As I had mentioned in my Wildcat build that I was going to the Seething Air Show and was hoping to post some photos on Sunday but time ran out and yesterday was my youngest 21st birthday. Anyway here they are. The weather was perfect not a cloud in the sky and there was a fantastic line up which included:-

BBMF Spitfire fly past

The Grace Spitfire

Wildcat Aerobatics

The great War Display

The Shuttleworth Collections Fiesler Storch (which literately hung in the air above you)

Ryan PT20

The Hardwick Mustangs

ME108

The Trig Display Team flying Pitts Specials

The whole of the Hardwick Warbirds Family flew in which included The AT6-D Texan, Auster Mk V, PT-13D Sterman and of course their two P-51D Mustangs. All in all a fantastic day with some great aircraft.

Hi Ian thanks,

To answer your question it's an old Canon 350D(2006) plus a Sigma 70-300mm telephoto lens without image stabilisation, you should have seen the number of images I discarded, hence the very slightly soft photos but hey to get a better lens would have cost more than the camera it's self.

i took photos at southport airshow. 1300 shots kept 208 lol

i used a canon 60D with the sigma 50-500 lens. that took some holding up i can tell you. they dont call it the "bigma" for nothing.

Great shots BTW

Nice pics, Vaughan. I remember seeing the Storch at an airshow I went to. It does appear almost stationary in the air.

Great pic's. On a similar theme to the Storch, at Duxford they had an AN2 (I think that's Antov) which done a very slow pass. This was estimated to be around 29kts over ground. A comment was made that the pilots' hand book doesn't include a stall speed.
