Its bringing all the memories back of looking at Francois Verlindens builds in his books and a Tamiya Paschi Special i bought aged 14 from a model shop in Bishops Stortford.Think Mr V would approve Peter and hes the reason i got into armour and then figures.I still like his stuff after all these years and im in awe of brush painting to this standard.

Use washes instead Peter. After about four or five washes it should be done. If using acrylics it shouldn't take too long to dry between coats especially if you use a hair dryer after about 5 minutes of natural drying.

Your speed building and finishing so quickly is great too, which is also stunning for most armour modellers.

John - Glad you like the metallic finish. Probably not too realistic, but hopefully it conveys the feeling of steel under the paintwork.

Steve - The only 4/0 brush I used was for the outlining and detail work on the tools. For the rest I invested £9 in this Da Vinci brush set made for Cowling and Wilcox:

A good range of sizes and shapes there, the flat ones being good for dry- brushing. Adding some stowage and other details to the tabk today.

I think I'm going to call the tank done (my wife has already asked why I'm still working on the same thing):

A couple of finishing touches to the tank itself - aerial laid in it's trough etc - then on to some stowage. The little that I had in the spares box was augmented with plastic sheet and carboard, and a few other things were made from the contents of 'that' kitchen drawer.

Next, the figures, which I'm a lot more comfortable with.
