Tamiya SAS jeep 1/35

Really good work on the land rover and all the extras and the figures are excellent.

Bit more done on the figures today . The bodies have had a dark shading roughly applied and I’ll drybrush the lighter colour later on . With the help of the homemade wet palette I got the faces as good as I can manage , just a bit of shading to be done on the tea towel head thingy ( somebody put me right what its called ) . The eyes were a bugger , taking ages and lots of aborted attempts before I was happy , at this scale youre not going to see whites of the eyes especially if theyre squinting in the desert sun . Strangely though I’m enjoying the figure painting …. Help ! IMG_7732.webpIMG_7733.webpIMG_7741.webp

Some people have squints, Tony just saying...
Actually neil when I looked at him again it must have been a shadow or something cause he looks ok . I’m happy with the faces but I’m struggling a bit with the shading on the uniforms

Well I’m calling the figures done , heads and arm are now stuck on and theyre in the Jeep. The passenger figure is posed as if hes holding a map and the driver is pointing something out - thing is there's no map supplied with the figures so i cut out a piece of the instruction ,drew a rough representation of north Africa on and its ready to go.IMG_7748.webpIMG_7748.webpIMG_7734.webpIMG_7737.webpIMG_7739.webpIMG_7740.webp
