Hi all, this one has been on the bench for a few weeks now and i'm sorry it's done. I've enjoyed building it so much, thats Tamiya for you. Built straight out the box with just a few things added on to make it look busy. I did go airbrush mad on this though (only because i've got the ultrasonic cleaner and love using it). The base is my usual recycling of picture frames and polystyrene with a layer of filler on top, the wall was found in a drawer so that got used too. Hope you like it as much as i've enjoyed the build.

Have fun, John

A cracking build John. Everything about it is just great, you seem to have a nack of turing out great little dioramas well done and 5 from me

That's just lovely John! Your figures are as good as any I've seen before & the shading and toning on the Sherman is of a very high quality. This is professional building! What did you use to dry-brush, enamels or oils? I'm thinking oils because of the fine, smooth finish.

The little vignette really sets it off well & gives it a story right there. Your groundwork is top-notch, though I'd like to know where you found the octagonal picture frame!

More than worthy of 5 stars!

Cheers

Patrick

Hi John

That nice diorama and perfect tank. I wait don't laugh at me, but what I like more is the rope that holds the objects in the back part, I adore these details....

Congratulations, great work!!

Cheers

That's a little gem John.

Great paint on the Sherman but what struck me was the figures. Very nice.

Loads of things to draw the eye.

Five big brass stars from me as well!

Hi John

That's a cracking build of the Tamiya M4. Great setting and figures too.

A fabulous piece of work and well finished.

All the best

Thanks fellas and for the five stars too. Yes Patrick, i used oils for the dry brushing mate. It's easier to work with i find and Klear goes on nicely after (much later), i did try something new on this too. We all know olive drab can be, well drab! When i was at the pre shading stage and all that was done i loaded the AB with white and did some pre highlights, then when the olive drab went on it just came to life. The figures are all Tamiya but the one at the road side is from the US field maintenance i have in my stash, worked well with him looking up.

Thing is, now it's finished Wendy loves it (never thought she'd get into armour). She wants to swop it for the Tiger i did a few weeks ago, so while she loves them i'll keep building them lol. Reet, i'd best get started on the 'SIG'.

Have fun, John

You don't give chance to put any critical word on it. Nicely built. I like weathering work. Nothing exaggerated. Regards Bart.

Great build John. Paints look great as does the washes and dry brushing. On board stowage looks natural. I like the figures abd groundwork as well. Those grass tufts looks like the ones I got from Silfor. Whichever brand it makes for very realistic grass. Well done!

Quality job mate nice simple dio very effective 5 stars from me too.

Wow .... A very very very beautifully made dio ....

The figures are just amazing ....

The dio looks so peaceful to me .. I like it ..

Cheers,

Gary

Yet again i've missed a cracking build.....Sorry for the late response John.

This is superb with lots of extra detail on board.

I use the white 'undercoat' too, simple, effective and easy to apply.

Very, very nice model.

Keep having fun!

Big thanks all, glad you like it. It's in the window where the wife put it. I so do love her, but the first time she says ' i don't like it' then it's divorce time.

Have fun, John
