Only another 3 hours or so and I'll be home!
Good heavens Paul where do you live, Pollux will be home quicker than that. And he's part of the international jet set.

You're probably right Colin!
I live in Kent, 3 train connections and a tube ride across central London to negotiate. Still, at least all ran smoothly on the journey back unlike the journey to Telford (grrr!)
Here's a question to all those who went to Telford (again great to meet you all)
What do you think was the most interesting/useful/innovative thing you bought there? Or (if you bought kits) what was your favourite?
To answer my own question: I bought some leaf punches by RP toolz (Patrick has just done a review of a similar product by Green Stuff), a 1/16 mannequin and a Revell (Hasegawa rebox) 1/32 109G-4 (for £15)
BTW. I'm really sorry we missed you Dave. I was at the bar and did order a pint at 12 so maybe you were there. I should have drawn a placard like Taxi drivers at airports!
But did you buy anything Dave?. I'm hoping to go to Cosford. Gutted I couldn't make Telford.Family/work commitments.
Not up to my usual haul, but I got these:

All these have been on my wanted list for quite a while. I also got this one. Not on my list, but I couldn't resist a bargain:

I think I got a real bargain with that last one. I've had a good look inside and there's a serious pile of beautifully detailed parts, with no visible flash anywhere. The only thing I can see possibly wrong is the HUGE number of the little ejector pin towers - there are 16 on each of the four sides that make up the individual launcher units!

Mind you, if this is an alternative to ejector pin marks on the parts themselves, I'm all for it. These will be much easier to clean up even if there are more of them. The only pin marks I've seen on the parts are all in places that will be hidden.
The other confusing thing is they've included four missiles. They're very simple two-part items but there's no apparent way to either fix them in the launch tubes - where they won't be seen - or to show them being launched!
Although I didn't manage to meet up with everyone at lunch time, I did briefly bump into Polux and Andy so had chance for a bit of a chat. Nice to see you guys, even if only for a couple of minutes!
PS Please note the absense of big boxes! The Patriot box may be slightly larger than the rest, but, as big boxes go, it's pretty tiny so it doesn't count as a big box!
PPS I noticed an Airfix 1/24 Typhoon up for grabs at £45! It was still there when I left at about 3:30. If I hadn't already got one, along with a load of bills and Xmas expenses, I'd have snatched the guy's hand off! Wonder why no-one else did?
Here's a question to all those who went to Telford
For me the most useful thing I got is the resin mould making kit. The possibilities are endless from making vehicle loads to spare parts like hands heads figures and weapons. All that is needed is a part to use as the master and away you go.
Well I did it again! Stood at the bar in the Ludlow Suite for 30 minutes and missed everybody! Even asked the barman if I was in the right place - he told me I was.
I reckon your slightly outta phase with the rest of the universe and that's why we can't see you![]()
