Phew 
my team WB Albion finally scraped enough points to avoid relegation to League 1 yesterday despite the EFL docking us points.
I can relax now and look forward to next season when hopefully we will do a lot better
Hope everyone else team did ok, onward and upwards

Your last game of the season is at my home town team , were happy we didnt go down had a mixed bag of a season but my brother in law is a Lincoln CIty fan.
Enjoy yourself on the 2nd May see you next season when the super Stags get promoted

You're spot on about the Premier League, though. Once you're used to proper, gritty matchday culture down in the pyramid, watching top-flight football feels less like a sport and more like a sterile corporate product broadcast from another planet. Tuning into Arsenal for a European night under the lights makes total sense just to get a quick football fix, but nothing beats actual grassroots connection.

I’m a life long Rangers and Scotland fan.
I’ve lived in many different places and am a firm advocate of supporting (different to being a fan) your local team if you can.
I’ve cheered on Toulouse, Aldershot, Farnborough, Elgin, Forres, Tranmere and just lately Ashville. Some of the best games I’ve been to have been at Farnborough.
But I’ve been to games with mates when they’ve had spare tickets including Middlesbrough, Man City and Olimpija Ljubljana.
I think football has got a bit like going to gigs. The big clubs and leagues have got too greedy and corporate; same for the big bands, venues and festivals. I much prefer going to a rough and ready lower league match or spit and sawdust gig venue - sometimes with the bruises to prove it.

Must admit I can't get excited about Football anymore TBH.
Used to love it a youngster, played it (badly), watched it on TV, went to games, read about it.
Now, apart from the really big matches, FA cup final, Champions League final, Internationals, etc I rarely take an interest.
I agree with the comment above about it getting far too "corporate" and clubs getting greedy, the cost to go to matches now and getting season tickets is astronomical! I certainly cannot afford it. I have family members who go though and costs seem to be eyewatering....
Even watching it on TV costs a fortune to get the right channels, etc, Sky, Virgin, BT, etc.
Not just football I know, F1 has gone the same way, as have other sports.
Does not help that we grew up in Peckham near the Old Kent Road, so our local team was Millwall, and my Grandad and Dad both supported them, so of course so did I, so you sort of grow up realising you are never gonna win anything, Lol!

I can remember both football and just about all other sports being affordable and where you could just pay at the gate to watch. When my 3rd division local team Reading FC was playing away it was a quick trip up to London on the train to watch Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea to watch a 1st division (as was) game. Those days have long gone and now we have the Premier League along with all its corporate greed and over paid players flashing their wealth. Way back one just bought a scarf in the team colours, but now one is expected to buy an overpriced replica kit shirt that changes as soon as a new design or team sponsor changes.
Likewise when I was in my teens all the big name groups like the Beatles and Stones did the dance halls back in the sixties where you could get up close to all your favourite pop stars. Go to a pop concert now and you are lumped in with thousands and in a huge arena, the punters get ripped off to see their favourite acts as indistinguishable shapes in the distance, relying on huge TV screens. What is the point ?
Reminds me of the film about Gordon Gekko's 'Greed is Good' mentality, and stock brokers wearing red braces and driving flashy cars (often a BMW) back in the day. LOL.
