I think that the 'doo doo' must have come from the giant duck that I sent your way?! Sorry!

Excellent comments and great exchanges! Top posts.....

Time to introduce the players.

Don't let the average artwork fool you, the figures are superb.

One of those 2 in the box kits. Rescued from the depth of the spares bin and just right for my requirements.

Again two kits in the box. Superb 'Snap together' Pak 40's

Thanks Steve.

I've managed to root out some pictures of the German Pak 40. As I wrote earlier you get two guns and their crews in one box.
Here is the sprue shot.

A really nice snap together kit. It would probably get slaughtered by the rivet counters - Who cares? I like it!

Complete with some of the supplied crew. The shot is taken from a previous diorama. Sorry no colour pickies.

The above will be incorporated into this diorama, but possibly not as shown above.......

Finished Allied figures to follow next.

Cheers.
Ron

Good morning .

Confused of Stamford .

We've always tried to vary the content of the forum a little to broaden our interests as we know the world is not made of plastic - you'll find there's quite a lot of doo doo in it as well!

Hi Ron
Just checked my roof. Only a bit of pigeon doo doo so your monster bird hasn't made it to Shropshire yet.
Little men look good. I'm an avid Tour de France follower and your village is a great match for some on the route.

Nice one Jim. Thanks for the great post.
Pigeon today. Who knows what tomorrow? Don't look up!

Here's one of the wee men painted up.

I'm happy with the layout of the 6 buildings. All the main damage has been created, so all I need now is to add tons and tons of rubble etc. Add the players and bring life to the stream.

Here's a couple of shots of the finished layout looking down to the village square. I've added some homemade sand bags and started to add some rubble to the Auberge gable end.

Thanks for sticking with my build. Nearly there!

"Nearly there" - Sorry mate but we will need another countryside of villages with copious figures and vehicles. Maybe a diorama of the Falaise Pocket will keep you going for a few years:smiling3:

This will be a real winner once completed. The Pak40 is great:thumb2:

Thanks everyone.

I've put some life into the weir using clear silicone. I also added some moss from my flat roof for shrubbery

Except for some bits of detail and the rubble, that's it really. All I have to do now is sort out which of the far too many pictures I took of the finished build do I post?

Cheers.

The weir certainly adds a bit of class to a wonderful build. Looking forward to seeing the final shots
