Lovely work on the engine, and the pilot is evolving nicely.
Have to agree with Andy the engine is superb the pilots not to shabby either.

As for the pilot, he's lovely quality,which helps a lot,gotta finish

First off I've done both sides of the fuselage

... They're a bit stark,but obviously you won't see much anyway
... Next,the sub assemblies together...
......
... More or less done, don't worry about the two MGs not being parallel, that'll be corrected when the
housing goes on,... Next,the view from either end ...
......
.... So,that's it up to now. Yes, pretty much EVERYTHING that you've seen here
(Which has taken me about 3 weeks!!), but I'm enjoying it,and, more importantly, it's all
practice for when I get the He 111 arrive

Next up I need to finish the pilot,so I can close up the fuselage

Lovely cockpit andy , as you say not much will be seen when Heinz is installed - BF109 cockpits were notoriously cramped . Which scheme are you going for , I like the look of the box art , the blue and white bands break up the greys nicely .
Looking very good there Andy. Excellent work bud. Strikes me that there would be scope for kits that depict just this bit of the aircraft in a larger than usual scale. A bit like the current trend for ship parts………
Neither do I Geoff. I seem to remember both Airfix Lancaster and Flying Fortress original art had engine fires, but don’t recall box art where someone is actually bailing out..Just catching up Andy, splendid work so far. Engine, cockpit and pilot all look great
I was intrigued by the box art, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the kit subject portrayed as the aircraft being shot down

.....closed up,cover open (for that "work in progress" look),OR, included in the kit are clear

flag,so, just like the engine conundrum.... I'm undecided as of yet!
