Hi all,

I'm just starting out in creating my first dio, I'm looking at doing a 1/35th Sherman Firefly in a rural/woodland scene, something like in these photos:

(noted that neither of these are Fireflies )

I'm hoping to have a British section patroling with the tank, or having some interaction with it, giving target indication's etc. but i'm struggling to find 1/35th figures in a combat stance!? Also any tips or hints on this dio in general would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and no apostrophe in 'Tommy's' - it's a plural not a possessive (Yes, I'm a grammar N*zi)!!

Very nice, thanks. A little "casual" but i could maybe alter a couple for what i need? Like the idea now that they're getting complacent having a sherman for comapny.

MiniArt: Plastic model kits, AFV, Historical miniatures & Figures, Building & Accessories also have some good Tommys. Tank crew NW Europe, also a set in winter uniforms. A set with tank riders. Another different set are some Royal Engineer soldiers.

Mini art figures are also very well detailed.

Miniart do a set of NW Europe Tank Riders all British troops, they also do a NW Europe British Tank Crew as well, they are very good figures and go together very nicely. There are some nicely molded bits in there. They are not overly expensive and can be picked up for slightly less on Ebay if you want them shipped from China............................

Cheers Andy, not really looking for tank riders though, hoping to have the dio in a more combat oriented pose? Sad news Snapper, tried to buy that set but it's been discontinued! The search continues...

Dragon discontinue kits all the time - thats not to say that you can't get hold of them. Here's 2 different sets on eBay right now. Both these are in the UK but there are dozens of sets if you're prepared to buy abroad.
