That has worked out superbly and created a unique and eye catching model. I particularly like the realistic materials such as the rope and netting. This is crying out for a diorama now or at least a nice sandy base!

Hi polux. Fantastic skills ! The conversions are really excellent ,the green camo one looks totally real! cheers tony

They both look very convincing, top marks...10/10 :no1:

I tend to renovate Die-Cast, I can find them for a lot cheaper than a plastic model kit, money is very tight, so this is my only way of enjoying modelling, taking a standard model looked and changing the look is just as fulfilling to me as doing a plastic kit...

Hi Andy!!

I starts the Pinkie for my interest to the Land Rover. I thought that it could make something different and put to work, which I didn't imagine is the work that would give me... I made 3 more (the wolf, gerndarmerie (france) and one of my business) and a Pinkie to scale 1/43 for a friend collector, later I got tired of making too much and starts with the kits of plastic on having found this forum!!

I expect to see some your transformation prompt!!

Hi to All again!!!

A small rest...

It's a simply work of painting, though for it dismantles everything and once painted it returned to assemble. The reference to copy of this vehicle is a Land Rover to scale 1/43. It belongs to the French Police (Gendarmerie), and it's possible to say that it's a special vehicle (convoy exceptionel) of transport with trailer for boats and other police vehicles.

The base of the car is a Universal Hobbies 1/18 (90 Defender color Silver). The wheels are equal, so in the small model and a photo that I saw that they were preserving this model. The blue light of the roof was conical (it doesn't large) and I put this one that ancient tape-worm. The "matriculation/number" are done with adhesive paper.

I wait you like it!!!

Thanks for looking!!!

Polux

Ps: Now I think of finishing, with everything learned, the pink panther.

2012 Version

To do again with weathering and more details....

I thing the convoy exceptional is an escort car for over sized loads.

Thanks Ian!! Your comment is correct also!!

And it's true, I like so much the Land Rover for his charisma and versatility. I late a lot of time in constructing the pink panther, and often I think of trying to make that "yellow car", which when I was a children I reminded in the middle of the jungle with abundance mud!!! That could be serious interesting to construct one "camel trophy", remembers it ...?

Cheers

Si I remember the Trophy Landy. Looked rather good.

A Land Rover is a car I would like to have but I "make do" with the Suzuki Grand Vitara....

Hi to all

At first say that this model is not mine.

When I began my collection of miniatures Land Rover, I was looking always for shops and other places where models were able to find. It was in a shop of Barcelona, where I began to buy, dressed in a jacket of the Land Rover, where I knew a new friend and related collector!!!

He was the owner of the shop, and on having seen my purchase he asked: do you like the Land Rover? We were speaking for hours and he showed to me his collection. What can say …. Impresive.

The unique difference strictly between ourselves is the size to collecting, 1/43 scale for him and all the scales for I. It yes, only classic Land Rover for us (Series and Defenders).

He has a professional person in the shop that paints him models and creates models for his clients. This one is one of them. You can see a photo of before and of later. The initials "RACC" would be: Royal Automóvil Club of Catalonia ". The vehicle has one of the former matriculations of the city, observe the "B" of Barcelona, now they all are the equal ones.

Hope you like it

Regards
