Need a christmas project, something different so im going to give this a go

Revell tug boat in theweird scale of 1/108

This was new tool back in the dark ages..... Or 1955 to be precise.... And it shows...... Loads of flash

And why oh why red styrene?????!!!!!!

Not decided on colour scheme yet but it wont be like the boxart

Good luck cleaning up the seams on that awful red plastic, especially the fenders! I built one fourteen years ago and finished it in an RMAS colour scheme and presented it to an elderly neighbour who finished his Merchant Navy career on tugs.

Have fun with it Paul as I had many moons ago and a build blog was featured here but since closed I think. Not to put you off but to give you an idea of what to expect, here are four pics of the build...


It can be a nice a nice little kit to build with patience, lots of putty and a bit of extras put in.

A real geriatric kit which will provide plenty of challenges. I built it a few years ago and despite the issues it was fun.
I will look forward to seeing how you get on.

Looks interesting little kit, will follow along mate.... still pondering what my next build will be, now that I've finished the Russian ICBM launcher, may do another of the tiny tanks that I still have in 1:144 scale....?

Not often i admit defeat but this kit is an absolute dog

Its bashable but i aint got the patience at the mo so its going on hold and i shall return to it later in to the new year

Now off to the stash to see what takes my fancy cos i need something to put together
