Two glasses next to me. One contains a fine malt, the other, warm water for decals. How long before I balls up?

depends how many times you fill the one with the malt in it gav :) :)

Gav you have the mix right.

Just drink the malt type before decals and they will go on perfectly.

In between have a malted break.

The next lot of decals will be beyond perfect. That is until you look at them in the morning.

Friend I helped out gave me a bottle of Whisky as a thanks. Very nice. Got home opened it took a sip. Blended just like the worst medicine I have ever tasted.

Nice bottle of malt for Pauline & I for Christmas.

Have to ask.... what malt is it?
Dalwhinnie.

I'm sure someone has nicked some of it during the night as there's no way I drank that much!

Managed to only pick up the decal water to drink once. I even stopped when I got to the tricky looking decals and put it down.

Thanks Gav for this post, it just gave me a much needed chuckle...:clap_1:

A very nice malt indeed. You ought to try Dailuaine, Cardhu and Royal Lochnagar. Very nice malts too. Oh and you'd love my job as well ;)

Ha ha another one. Visited the Dalwhinnie Distillery some years back now.

Best malt I have tasted. Bought a bottle while there. Got it home but not for long. Caught it in the ear when wife said I would love a glass. Quietly as I went out the door it has all gone dear. Dreadful silence.

Cannot get it in Jersey but just looked it up & I may be able to get it on line. From memory it was the smallest distillery in Scotland.

Nope. It's Edradour that's the smallest :)
That is the one I got it wrong. It was Eradour.

The stream, burn if you must, runs along at high level behind the distillery.

Just looked it up & that is it the delightful little place. Pauline would have known but dare not mention the place !?!

Has anyone ever used malt whisky as a decal softener before gav ?!!! you might be onto something there , the new wonder stuff!! and at £30 a bottle its still cheaper than a bottle of old klear on e-bay !!!!LOL!!! tony

I'm a Talisker man and wouldn't waste any sharing it with any kind of work!

There's a time and a place.

I'm a Whisk(e)y fan, but most malts seem a bit subtle for my tastes.

Ever the pleb. :D
