Hi Colin

I have the opposite problem, I cant slow down, If a kit needs more detail.. but I am close to completing it, I wont slow down, and in haste will make a mistake just to see it completed.

I have completed 31 models since the start of the year... need to half that this year to achieve better quality, and a more satisfying build.  I need to be more patient, more importantly I need to learn how to be patient.

I am aiming to slow down and do 15-20 in around the same time. How I achieve to do that is still a mystery to me

15 to 20 could be a target for me as well, but from a completely different point of view !!

finally got round to having an add up

1/12 Kawasaki KZ1000P

1/24 Chevy '55 Dragster

1/24 Toyota HiLux

1/72 Albatros

1/72 Horton Ho229

1/72 P40 AVG

1/32 Humber Snipe

1/35 Marder II

1/35 Jeep Ambulance

1/76 dukw

Klingon D7 battle Cruiser

plus 2 on the go at the mo

All 1/72:

P-51D

Junkers 88 A-4

Focke-wulf 190 A-7

Blenheim Mk1 on the bench at the moment.

So it's been a productive year by my standards so far! However I'm just about to retire. I wonder what I'll do with all that extra time?...

Slow year for me in the model world with four completed (Revell BAe Hawk T.1 ETPS, Italeri Super Etendard, Revell Macchi 200 Saetta, Matchbox Canberra PR9)

Paul and Doug have done well.

As for your slow year Joe. It's still far more successful than mine.

I think my builds for this year so far are,

1/72 spitfire

1/72 me109

the tumbler

the batpod

a Humvee

a merkava III

a dingo un vehicle

a bmp

Israeli figures

a 1\32 hawk

USS Enterprise

space shuttle and booster rockets

an su122 with tank riders and diorama

3 foam board buildings.

and iam working on another USS Enterprise, a 1/350 typhoon submarine and the hintern.

I thought it had been a very slow year so far for myself but when ive looked at it and counted them i surprised myself a bit. I have completed 7 so far this year -

1/144 chengdu j20

1/72 F86 sabre "the Huff"

1/48 B58 Hustler

1/48 F100 Super Sabre

1/48 Chengdu j10 Vigorous Dragon

1/72 Yak 25 rv Mandrake

1/144 Sopwith Pup

and in progress at the moment -Eduard 1/48 MiG 21 and Monogram 1/48 F101 Voodoo.

Whats surprising is that 5 of the 7 were group build entries (even though the hustler was last years that ran over by 10 months!!!!!)                         I suppose an average of roughly one a month isnt too bad , at this rate if I dont buy anymore I'll have cleared the stash in about 6 years :o :o
