Just seen that he's announced he's going to retire from MotoGP (as a rider) at the end of this season.

One of my all time greatest, if not the greatest, riders i've had the pleasure to watch and meet.

He'll be sorely missed by me.

I agree , I well remember him winning 125cc at Donnington in 95/6 and thinking he will go all the way ! A great rider of course and a great showman with some fantastic celebrations over the years !

im a big fan but to be honest im surprised he didnt retire 2 seasons ago

i was reading the other day where his team that he runs is getting massive saudi sponsership to run in moto gp with ducatis, his half brother is one rider and it was thought he might be the other

I have watched him many times live! - just looked up some shots I took at LeMans 2015 , diving under Marquez , chasing the lead !! ( good thing I had motor drive on !)

Great pictures. I think 2015 was his last big chance to make it ten championships. My only experience of seeing him live was at Catalunya in 2009 which was an amazing last corner victory.

I hope we get some entertaining interview footage when he is managing the new team. Any chance of a wildcard ride at Mugello, Vale?

dont think i breathed in for the last two laps of that race........lost count how many times ive rewatched it

Personally i don't think Rossi was the same biker after his crash with Simoncelli (Super Sic). Still love watching him though.
