Short notice but I have only just spotted this:-

Air Show RAF Cosford (nr.Telford Shropshire) Sunday 13th June.

I noticed there will be trade stands...

Take a look at the website, looks very tempting.

I wanted to go there but it clashes with a dog show that the wife wanted to go to, so guess who won

I won't be able to go, we have just had a week off work to enjoy the peace and quiet while My daughter (bless her) was away with the school and all we have done is relax and spend money lol. Sunday will be getting everything back to reality ready for return to work Monday... (sob, sob.... don't want to go back....)

just a quick tip though. Last year's event attracted about 10000 more visitors than expected (IIRC) and they ran out of parking spaces. Lots of folks missed some of the show while they were trying to find somewhere to park. If you want to go - go early!

I've just noticed you mention 'trade stands' at the Cosford air show.

Does that mean we'd be able to pick up a cheap F14 or Jumbo jet or similar?

You know the sort of thing: "One careful owner. Low mileage. Taxed ......."

On tour and doing a series of Scandinavian dates at the moment. I write this from a nice bus in a muddy field under a bridge in the slightly oddly named Danish town of Middelfart....no sniggering at the back. It's absolutely p*ssing down,so a typical festival atmosphere as anyone whose been to Glastonbury will know lol.

All the fantastically expensive and sensitive electronic equipment and the crew for which I am responsible is getting a good soaking. I'm trying to ignore it.

Helsingborg - Oslo - Bergen - DAY OFF (well a flight back to Hamburg)

Got a great internet connection though! And I've just heard the start of "The Sultans of Swing".....gotta go.

Thanks for the heads up ron, unfortunately ill not be able to go as we're doing a car boot this sunday, getting rid of some crap ( oh ,er ,i mean lovely stuff!) Pity , i would have liked to go, but luckily im going to the one at waddington on july 3rd so its not too bad . cheers mate tony
