discussion Weekly name the model from the picture

Ok i know that this is not the proper forum to put details about this in but since more people read this than the Joke one i thought i would start here.

My plan is to have a weekly comp showing an obscure part of a model or just a sort of blurred out item used in model building and having you all trying to quess what the item or model is but of course it is just for fun, however the person who wins then must put up the next weeks picture and choose the winner so no one person is running the show.

If you like this idea let me know and i will put up the first picture in the correct forum. If this gets the nod get your thinking caps on as it could be you next........:twisted:

Allan, there is similar thread running at the moment ( if only I could find it) where a picture of a model is posted and the members have to guess what it is and what make of kit. The winner then posts his own picture.

Your idea has an interesting slant with just a small portion of the model to go by.

Why not give it a whirl and see what happens?

You will find out how may are interested by starting it off. Just go for it, sounds like fun although I will never guess right. I can't tell my ramjet from my exhaust.... (whispers.... they are two different things aren't they?)

Ok i shall post a picture in the morning as i'm just a sad old git who can't be bothered just now.

Well i'm going to see my dad who is in a nursing homeand has Alzheimers (i think that's how you spell it) any way look for the first picture tomorrow.

sounds a great idea allan , i used to get aviation news when i was younger and they used to have an id parade every week with pics of about ten planes ,which i used to love, trying to identify them ( i know! ill get me anorak) , cheers tony

There seems to be some sort of gantry shaded on the wall, so how about a bit of a rocket?..

Or some sort of silicone cartridge that someone has closed the nozzel with red tape....
