Looks good John. Nice skin tones. He came out with a slight worried expression like mine . Just something I found out while doing mine, that you may or may not want to correct, the underside of the brim is actually grass green felt. Thanks mate, you are right about his expression. Funnily I was not a fan of the face on the box art, because...conspiracy theory..I thought the boxart was a different figure if you look at the box in the other thread, I only noticed this last night BTW the Sphinx's on the figure have a different orientation to my figure . Thanks also for the tip about the Wolesley I didn't know that, but I did that very thing to the Brodie.

Yes I was quite pleased as I have not painted a full figure for a while and as somebody was saying in a thread I was reading recently ,(sorry I cannot remember who posted it..) figure painting is a discipline that you need to do on a gegular basis to keep your eye in, especially the dreaded .eye's themselves, which can be seen on this fellas "mince pies".

I also think the box art is different John. The ears are different, for example, they are much rounder on the box. Probably a pre production sculpt finished for the box art so it was ready to go straight away. Have you noticed his right eye is a bit higher than the left? I redid mine twice before I worked that out…..thought it was my bad painting

Hi Tim,
Glad you agree, thought I was getting a bit paranoid. Had not noticed the eye thing, I was struggling a bit with the eye's , i thought it was because I was rusty. However I think my problem was with everything having that tilt to the figures right hand side, I found it a little difficult to get the symmetry correct in my head. Still once I have painted the under rim of the helmet he will be going in the cupboard so I can find another victim to practice on. Cheers mate.

Thanks for looking in, and the very kind comments, always nice to hear from you. I was quite pleased with the Uniform mix actually considering I just mixed the oils on the fly, in the flesh it looks a reasonable tunic colour mix to my eye ( but I am no expert on these matters ). All the best matey.

Morning mate, many thanks for dropping by and the kind comment. Thought the bust had a few minor issues, but enjoyed the painting , always nice to get to the bench, paint brush or extra thin brush pleasure is the same . I have a few figures already cleaned up, might have to squeeze one in between the Group builds comming up .
