What flew over your house (yesterday)

According to my wife, the last few days have seen a Canberra, F18, A400M Atlas, A350, A380, Vampire and Meteor all do their stuff on validation flights in preparation for the Farnborough airshow which starts next week. Meanwhile I am still in Riga fixing knackered Q400's.
I am going to the Farnborough show next next friday and am already anticipating what goodies I will bring back.

Think that Vixen is back in RN paint again. last I was it it had a broken leg....Ouch.Just been buzzed by a Merlin. Nothing new in that living between airfield and beach... Rather funny it flew over and could hardly have reached the coast when it turned and flew hoe again. I could imagine the radio:

"Ops sorry our bad, found him in the dunes."

One very disappointed crew turning around and leaving the beach with the observer protesting! (Lots of young danish women sunbath topless on the beach. bottomless to come to think of it !!!)

Which beach? I'll check it out next time I'm in CPH!

I'm just hoping to be home in Farnborough some time next week!

Duxford for me this weekend, fingers crossed. I've never seen a P-38 in the air so I'm hoping it will fly and hoping to get there.

Spitfire just flew over our house 5 min ago, couldn't get the camera out quick enough!

two days ago.......at midnight.............for over an hour!.........it was the police helo hovering using its search light as some idiot decided he was going to chuck himself off the rocks into the sea........took them a while to find him then talk him out of doing it

Used to get that most days whilst living on Portland...must admit, if I lived there for much longer, think I'd have launched myself off a cliff

Keep getting buzzed by some jet or another or maybe a chinook, Merlin or a wildcat...roll on the 26th yeovilton air day!

Lee :)

...got buzzed by a gazelle whilst at longleat

...as weird as it sounds, I liked it's whine as it powered through the sky...what a weirdo! o_O :D

All being well I will be departing Riga today and heading home. One thing is for sure, I'm going nowhere near the office for a day or two so if the weather stays fine I will be in my garden watching the Farnborough airshow.

it was a EC135 T2. :P

If you live in plymouth there will be a SEAFURY doing a flypast over Brickfields Devonport at about 20;00 hrs & will do three passes so you dont miss him, it's all part of the 350 annv of the Royal Marines, i think it will return on Saturday as the Sopworth Camel cant make it due to engine being overhauled.

Mk 1 Hurri buzzed my house (at least that's what like to think he was doing) for about 15mins today - very cool. Obviously some air show over at Biggin but its always nice to get a display from the comfort of your back garden!

Cheers

Paul
