discussion What setting can this go in?

this is my latest project the tamiya 1/35 sturmpanzer kfz 166 it's not quite finished due to what to do with it as the muck around the tracks has got to fit the scene, Ive done a late version as I wasn't going to spend money on extras like zimmeritt so it can be anything from Normandy to the Ruhr pocket


So it's a country scene or a a town scene but I can't decide country is easier but town has an attraction

I've still got some bits to put on like a couple of logs and helmets but that again will be decided by the setting

Hi there as you have already got the paintwork in order it would be nice to see this tank in an Italian diorama ( Anzio ) you could have a semi countryside affair possibly village outskirts with tank in derelict building giving fire support. Research showed the sturmpanzer was used in this theatre also on the assault at Kursk Russia but the units kept the sturmpanzer in Italy till the end of 1945 when the retreating Germans destroyed the tanks so not to let the advancing allies take them as prizes. Hope to see this soon

Whatever you do the model has to remain the focus, it looks really good.

Firstly, that looks superb Al, I love the weathering. Secondly, Italy does sound a superb setting for this beasty.

Cheers guys I'm pleased this has turned out well I was worried about all the dings and whether they would look right but I think they've worked well


I'm leaning to either Italy or Germany both in ruined town
