hi all , i was just thinking about all the different (strange, obvious,or just downright weird!) user names everyone has, and what are the reasons/explanation behind them , anyone want to tell all? Ok then ill start but its not very interesting! YAK FACE - the name of a little known character in the star wars films , he was the rarest of the action figures, not that im into star wars , but i am into russian aircraft hence -yak and face -like cakey face ie someone who likes cake. So there we are , whos next?

spanner570 ?.....Spanner was the name of our first dog when the present Mrs. Ron and I were married in 1970.

The 570 is part of our phone number.

Fenlander is very simple, I live on the edge of and spend as much (even though it is very little) time in the beautiful fens of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. Never makes up for the hills of my playground of 40 odd years, the Peak District which I miss so much. However, I normally use the name Paddy on forums, Patrick is my middle name and has been my nickname for years, nobody in the family and friends calls me Graham, seem odd to see it on here, Paddy must have been in use when I signed up..

While we are 'cleansing our souls', what about a Mug Shot page?

Mine is simple, it's for me Dad, the Centurion Mk5/2 he drove the in the Army and 3RTR is the 3rd Royal Tank Regiment.

Ian is my name, M is from the surname. Got two Ians where I work, so I became Ian M the other one Ian S.

Simple as that really.

Mine stems from a mis-spent youth (in the music industry) and I'm leaving the rest up to you lot. It's irrelevant today but these things stick. Worse ones have stuck to some of my old mates!

Cheers

Steve

Gern is the hapless assistant to Dil - master embalmer for the rulers of Djelibeybi (Lit: 'Child of the Djel') from Terry Pratchett's marvelous book 'Pyramids'.

It should have been Grinjer! He makes models of the things the rulers take into their pyramids for the afterlife. The kingdom decreed that models would be acceptable as they would magically transform into the real thing. And anyway, they could no longer afford the real things!

Muggins here picked the wrong name from memory. Just goes to show the value of proper research!

Gern

Mine is (as it sounds) due to the fact that I was back into modelling from a 7 year gap when I joined this site...

DD are my initials, and 2356 was my first pin number which i always found easy to enter at the cash point.

Incidently, i don't use 2356 anymore, it now 4.................phew nearly!!!!
