What's on the Bench 2024

Thanks guys. I got a few hours at the bench today so the decals are on. ICM provide early & late types (I'm guessing pre & post invasion), so I mixed them up a bit between truck and trailer.

After a bit of grunging up with Citadel shade paints I've sealed everything with a matt coat ready for further work:

PXL_20241020_183047990.jpgIt's good that the chassis' can be kept apart from the bodywork until the last minute, so I can work on them separately.

That's looking really cool Andy...

Thanks Nick, it's been a fun little kit build & paint

Andy, is this support for the monster rocket launcher?

No, the builds aren't really connected, it's was just the next on my list.
Besides, I think they are on different sides at the moment 🤔

My apologies Paul minitnkr. I've just realised that I didn't mention this was the Ukrainian version, I thought I had.

That one brings back memories.Seem to rememember going to Bishops Stortford on train with my brother to buy this one.Think my brother got a Tamiya motocross bike.Loved my Tamiya kits in teens and still do.Watching with interest.

This one is one of the kits a friend gave me because he couldn't model no more due to his age. Sadly he passed away a few days ago (he was 91) and his son told me he wants to see those kits built as a memorial to his dad.
I began with the easiest one, Tamiya M1A2 Iraqi freedom. The other 2 are a Tamya F16 aggressor 1/48 and an ICM CR 42 1/32.
The Abrams is coming together OOB without any issue, so no need for a dedicated thread. Here's one picture.

M1A2 received the main paint coat
AK Real Sand with a drop of Zinc Chromate Yellow to change the too brownish hue of the Sand paint.

Tomorrow a clear gloss coat then a week away from the bench (family calls). Weathering and external loads will follow.

Plan is to leave the stug in plain dunkelgelb.....and give the scurzen armour some camo stripes in dunklegrun and rotbraun

Since idont have an airbrush at the mo i had to get creative with a rattle can to do the camo on the scurzen

Scurzen is still on the sprue in the pic......i just wanted to see what it looked like

Next step is a clear coat for the decals and then a wash of some sort
