On my Seafire FR47 I'm about to attach the folded wings, but they look very precarious ( if that's the correct word)
In this Review......
https://modelingmadness.com/review/korean/gb/rey47.htm
The conclusion states he had to make L-shaped brackets out of soft wire etc to support the folded wings.
Do you think he meant solder wire maybe or something else?
I have some wire but I don't think it'll be substantial enough.
Any recommendations please guys?

Ive got a nice stash of ali and brass rods and tubes etc nowadays but i did find fusewire is good for stuff, a metre of three different sizes in wilkos for a quid.

Large Staples? Or, as I use paperclips - carefully straightened they're strong - use CA to attach!

I don't have fuse wire nowadays Mark but if staples don't work I'll search some out, cheers

I like staples as most are flat so take adhesive nicely.

I would use brass pin wire. Available in a huge range of diameters, and very easy to bend, yet strong enough to hold a wing fold with ease.

forgot to ask you, Dave....
what is CA?
I'm trying to catch up with all the Acronyms used here I guess one has to be on here for quite a while to understand them:smiling3:

CA = Cyanoacrylate = Super Glue. Loads of brands to choose from - I use Loctite, but that's my personal favourite

I built one of these seven years ago and used the kit hinges:

nicely done Dave.
As I haven't done modelling since I was a teenager, (10 years ago :)) I am finding it a bit fiddly , and the destruction's aren't as good as they used to be IMO
