As promised here are a few poorly taken pics of the Iskra s latest progress. You can see the filler being applied round the canopy ( it really was a poor fit), and the bottom part of the front intake which i had to block off to prevent being able to see right through to the undercarriage bays! Once ive sanded the intakes then i can get the elevators on and the airframe will be more or less ready for primer, cheers tony

This reminds me of a L-29 or an Aermacchi trainer. Nice work Tony, you've tamed that canopy and nice save with the intakes

Great work so far and the scratch work in the office loads kudos for that.

Great work Tony it may be slow work but with all the detail you've added it's well worth it. Keep up the good work and pictures coming

Got to love the sausage masks there. A third colour always complicates things, but you have nailed it Tony. Looks really good. You're on the home stretch now. And seeing as we have four months and not the usual three, no need to undertake that gentle jog, we can walk :)

You gonna finish it in time for Cosford Tony? That looks a sure-fire competition winner!

Very nice Tony, the camo has worked out well & I always think getting the decals on makes a build look ' real '

Its hard to believe I know but Ive actually finished a GB well before the finish time !! I had a last push with the Iskra and its now done . The undercariage and stores have gone on and its had a final satin finish . There were a few more tiny bits to sort such as the nose cannon , nav lights and giving the control surfaces a pin wash but these didnt take long . Its been a fun build and for £3 its definitely been value for money!! The only thing I'm not too fussed with is the poor canopy , its not the clearest but it doesnt detract from the whole too much .Heres a few pics then I'll put up a completed thread with all of them on , thanks for watching cheers tony
