Morning Peter

Lovely work yet again and a super contrast with the tunic.

I use Japanese uniform as a base for blonde hair, when I ever do figures!

Looks like the head gear today and all the little fiddly bits to get him into the cabinet.

Must be a front and centre bust and nudge someone else out into the recycle vat of Dettol?

Have a good day with the paints

Morning Steve. I have a candidate for the Dettol already, so there should be space enough in the cabinet.

Our man is now finished:

The only problem with fitting the earphones was that the arc of the bridge was wider than needed, so it had to be first glued on one side, then held down and glued on the other - so far it hasn't pinged off. The wiring was fiddly, as anticipated - cutting to the right length, bending to shape, then gluing into position took several attempts for all parts, but there was only some minor swearing involved.

Hi Peter
I know I keep saying it but this is one of your very best. He is superb. It is very hard to improve on excellent work but you do seem to manage it.

Once again incredible work Peter. Without doubt the best depiction of a DAK soldier I have seen.

Many thanks people. Reasonably pleased with this one I'd say (steady!).

I'm with PaulE. This is indeed one of your best. A real joy to see

May I ask the colours and techniques you used to create the brass effect rims on the binoculars please?. Many thanks in advance

Mick - Thank you.

Steve - Thanks also. The binoculars were first painted all black, then the leather grips were painted in tones of grey. The rubbed steel was painted on with Vallejo Oily Steel and the rubbed brass effect was simply painted on with Old Gold. No special techniques used.

Morning Peter

A resounding success all round, well done.

As for colour call outs, the lenses of the goggles?

You have done the red tinted ones before and my OddBall has them too.

What colours did you use to get that effect?

Its snowing nicely here up't North again!

Narnia has nothing on this!

Have a good day with your new victim and hopefully some light too

Regards
