    Hi,
I've got figures coming out of my ears so I'm laying them aside and taking a look at the tanks.
I took them apart and totally forgot they were early Academy kits so the details were a bit soft on the bolt heads on the side sponsors.

I replaced them with sliced tubing that was glued over the existing bolts negating any sanding. Then sliced hexagonal rod was glued in the center...

ID:	1254544 I'm taking whatever stowage that is detachable off for easy repainting. The rest will be masked but before that I s daped whatever mold lines that were visible. I built and painted these almost 30 years ago and it shows. Wish I had time to open the driver's hatch.

    Cheers,
    Wabble

      Hi,
I am reposting this as there was no image on my laptop.

Hi, I'm adding this group of four and have just modified the arm and hand position of the searching GI from Tamiya. Cranes his head looking low, switched his right arm with a spare from the stash, moved his left arm up and carved enough off his inner shoulder to tilt the arm inwards.

I have tilted the Germans head to look down at what the GI is searching for. It's been a while since my last Tamiya figure and was amazed with the fit and ease of build compared to the Dragon figures that I am also adding to the Dio.

      Cheers,
      Wabble

I think this is a bonkers idea, re- hashing an old model, but it's brilliant and you're doing a super job as always Wabble.

            Hi,
More progress on the searching soldier with more padding with putty....

                Thanks Scottie.

Here's the bunch of primed and zinethalled ex Tamiya restored figures. They look much more convincing than when they were in a mish mash of the old paint work, putty and different plastic arms, head and legs...

I will be painting them using Calvin Tans method of light passes of filters after I have highlighted areas with white.

Hope so Steve, I haven't done a big Dio in a while. Thought it was just an easy task just rehashing but ran away with doing more that I was supposed to.

                      Cheers,

Excellent work. Those figures look so much more of a unified group now they are primed.

Thanks Steve, Tim, Neil and Jim.
Couldn't leave the figures as they were...they would have been frozen without some sought of winter protection. The figures were old and I went crazy with the putty. Now they look more convincing under some primer... cohesive as Jim said that even in a group like I just did they look like they're on a coffee break in between a movie take.

Time is getting short so I need to rush a bit. Hope detailing doesn't suffer for that.

                                Cheers,
