Nice, I didn't think there were any Wessex still flying.
Yeah Colin I've seen a couple of the last few years obviously not in an operational sense but air shows and stuff like that , when I was in Portsmouth in May I saw a gazel in camo fly over the holiday park we were staying at , where I live in Devon I've seen loads of stuff flying over
According to my wife, the last few days have seen a Canberra, F18, A400M Atlas, A350, A380, Vampire and Meteor all do their stuff on validation flights in preparation for the Farnborough airshow which starts next week. Meanwhile I am still in Riga fixing knackered Q400's.
On the bench: Airfix 1/48 Sea King HC4, Revell 1/24 Trabant.
Coming soon: Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR2.
Just finished: Airfix 1/48 Stuka & Airfix 1/72 Sea King HC4.

So that must have been where the hunter I saw earlier going
Think that Vixen is back in RN paint again. last I was it it had a broken leg....Ouch.
Just been buzzed by a Merlin. Nothing new in that living between airfield and beach... Rather funny it flew over and could hardly have reached the coast when it turned and flew hoe again. I could imagine the radio:
"Ops sorry our bad, found him in the dunes."
One very disappointed crew turning around and leaving the beach with the observer protesting! (Lots of young danish women sunbath topless on the beach. bottomless to come to think of it !!!)
