Morning all
So some arrivals this week.....
ATB.
Andrew
------------------------------
I don't play golf.....but our very own Tim Marlow has demonstrated just how good these are for putting small figures on when painting. In fact so good, this is my second batch.....I should have ordered a bigger batch last time!:smiling5: They're also wood and so will rot down if it ever comes to it.

Next up two purchases that mysteriously got ordered but means unknown........I'm blaming my phone.......
First up, another addition for my 'Hunters and Hunted' collection. I'm blaming AlanG for this, after he introduced me the German 'Wilde Sau' night fighter concept.

Secondly, I have been thinking about getting a Beaufighter for a while, as it's one of my favourite planes and so finally plumped on this....

How many figures are you intend to paint at a time Andrew? I get by with a dozen tees, but you must have about forty
Not sure how you base your figures? I use 1p or 2p pieces because most of mine are plastic these days, and it adds a bit of stability to the finished gaming piece. These coins have been coated steel for around twenty years. I therefore glued magnets to the top of the tees and have been able to ditch the use of blue tack for holding them on while painting. They now just click on and click off.
Nice aeroplane kits by the way…..Comment

It's actually 50 tees.. :surprised: :surprised:. I really don't need that many but I have been on a major catch up on my figure painting and so ran out - but more about that later. Because I've never taken figures seriously and to be honest had a bit of phobia, I've never based them properly before. Having nothing better to hand, I've been using 1p and 2p coins on the ones I've done recently, like you. Can you send me a PM re the magnets you use. sounds much better than blue tack!
And thanks for the comments on the planes. I've already got one of the AZ model G-6s but I think it was the wrong decals for what I want to do. As for the Beaufighter the Airfix tooling is pretty new and supposedly the best on the market at this scale.
Thanks.

What I forgot to mention was that my mum paid for the kits in the end. I had ordered them to her house in error due to a previous order I'd sent there.
She's about to move and as she's in her late 70s I've been helping her a lot with clearing out (my brother did most of that though) and paperwork (my area of expertise), so she ended up giving me the money for them yesterday and so now I have £30 burning a whole in my wallet as we speak!!:smiling5:

Hey Mark,
Could you let me know what you think of that Pin Vice please?..... I`ve been needing a new one for a while, but a couple i bought weren`t very good...... the jaws were very "Hit and Miss" when it came to gripping the drill bit.
Cheers,
