I saved a whopping 50p by getting it from China - although it shows the Flakvierling, the crew could be on any AA gun..............

                  Hi all

So a bit of come down from the recent paint purchase, with a kit and some AM parts...not bad but paint is soooo much better!

Seriously though, I have to be honest and say that I'm not a huge fan of the long nose FW190 Doras......the proportions look all wrong (a point AlanG agrees on BTW) but as I didn't have one in the stash I thought I should have at least one.

Second hand eBay purchase as usual....current new Profipack D-9 (£27) plus the cheapest I could find the AM parts for, come to about £42 delivered. I managed to snag the pair for £21.

Ok so the box is a bit battered but that's sometimes the nature of 2nd hand kits - the contents are fine and that's all that really matters.

As for the book not modelling related but thought I would share it.....it's actually by a former colleague of mine, who I also count as a friend and most importantly used to be one of my main curry buddies when I was in London for business.

She is really one of the most interesting - without being self centred - and nicest people you could meet. She's quite well known on the SF scene and amongst other things has contributed to the Doctor Who novels.

This has only just been published and so I thought I would support her (I did manage to find it cheaper than the jacket price!).

                  ATB

                  Andrew

I said I wouldn't buy any more planes for a while, but, I've wanted one of these for ages,I think that pretty much ends my collection of WW2 Fighters now,but this was an absolute bargain at £14 or so,delivered :thumb2: ,built their Mustang last year, and liked it,so this should be a happy experience :hugging-face:

Not a kit but I bought a new laptop yesterday. My last was pretty old about eight or so years, I think maybe one of the valves went. The wi-fi was almost non existent so bit the bullet and now have a laptop that is sooooo much better.
Silent! runs YouTube in full HD with out pause. Much better graphic and screen. Happy bunny!

It's only when you use a new computer, you realise how bad the old one was!

I had a go at playing one of my lads games on my PC. It was liking watching a time lapse! :smiling5:
