Have you not come to terms with the fact that it's not just a handbag - it's a reconfigured Tardis :smiling: !

            Afternoon

When using especially Eduard PE frets I have always tried to put them back into the original packet to protect them but the packaging is always a bit tight and have damaged a few fragile bits in the past sliding them back into the packet.

So been watching a guy on YouTube, he uses a folder/book with A5 plastic pockets, so £2 from evilbay later, hey presto

More space in the folder and frets stored in order, will also use labels to label what fret is inside, very pleased. Please note the Xmas slippers, just had to knock me out to get the old ones off my feet!

He also uses pink Mr surfacer 1500, no idea they did it in pink, the same guy uses it for easy identification for seam checking. To be fair he happily shares his techniques, thank god lol!

After my last post young Mr Smith made a jokey comment that I should finish a kit first, although totally meant as banter. It did upset me.

The last year has been horrendous for my family, as many know Julie had cancer of the womb last year, had a emergency hysterectomy followed by radiotherapy, we are both scared that it will come back although the first 6 month check over was thankfully clear.

Now almost exactly a year later my beautiful mum has had a terminal cancer diagnosis. It's truly terrible visiting every day knowing what's coming. So making and finishing kits is the last priority I have, I often sit at the bench but my mind thinks of my mum and I cannot go on.

Sorry for the ramble, but needed to get this off my mind.

Not having a go at Andy by the way, I mean that.

Nice acquisitions Neil. The neck on the Sergeant looks a little weird in the box art though? A bit like his neck is too long and the collar is too small. Sure it won’t be an issue for you though.

I had a bit of a splurge at the shop

I've never done a boat kit and have seen a few people recommend this one, so thought I'd give it a try before a proper braille scale ship.

I see there's another aircraft GB coming up so hopefully this will get me into that

I've been promising myself this kit for a while. It has a huge number of tiny parts but if my main subject in the truck GB goes well I might make a start on this too as it kinda fits the theme.

And some random stuff. Paints for some of the above and a couple of cheap tools. I always seem to use my dusting brush for dry brushing so a dedicated one will help. And my drill is a pain, having to swap collets for different sized bits, so this should give me my most used sizes in a quick change format.

Also a couple of the new paints John is stocking to test out.

That's an impressive haul there Andy,
I like the Shturmovick in particular, I've faniced one of those myself for awhile, but never found one for "the right price"

Nice lot of stuff there Andy. You’ll like the SMS paint, it sprays beautifully and cleans up well with MLT. You’ll have to let us know how you get on with the dust brush as well.
Ive seen the Shturmovic built a couple of times and the feedback is always that it’s one of the best kits out there…..

A birthday present from the Mrs, forgot all about it with my birthday being during my holiday. I'd really enjoyed the X wing build so wanted a buddy for it, I'll paint this up in the same colours.

I have fond memories of building that kit, you’ll probably enjoy it. A lot less parts than a tank kit, in any case
