I had a £5 Hobbycraft birthday voucher to use, yes it's taken me a month to do it but what the hell! I was going to let it go but thought sod it, let them pay for something! Well SWMBO had to throw in an extra 100 pennies towards it. :smiling5:
I was going to order it online, an extra £6.95 for postage... uh no! Had to go to Yeovile anyway!
Hopefully I can do a better job than what I done nearly 40 years ago.
Let's see how a 48 year old kit holds up?!Comment

Ok chaps. So a few more arrivals, mostly but not all 1/72 wargaming related purchases.

----------------------------------
These two came courtesy of the same shop.
I've always fancied doing a WWI plane but have been put off by the rigging. Then I came across the Roland, which has fairly minimal rigging from what I can see. The Wespe is obviously reinforcements for my German forces.
A nice eBay win to reinforce Junior's Brits. Loyalty cards points knocked quite a bit off the price and so it only cost £8.50 delivered.
Have heard very good things about Flyhawk and this came up new for a good price....plus I have always liked the Luchs, so why not.
Finally an order from a Polish shop I often use, mostly for canopy masks, as they're often the only place I can get them easily and so I tend to do a bulk order.
Some kits managed to sneak in though.....
I know I have just done a Raiden but I enjoyed it so much I have decided to another one.
I most pleased about the Long Tom's though. These are resin printed in various scales. Hasegawa did do an inject moulded one but they go for at least £20 on eBay second hand. These were only £15 and on the 'frame' in real life they look VERY good!!!
Clearly the Flyhawk kit wanted to get in on the act again.....this was not a second one.

I know we all say no more kits but in this case I'm having one final splurge this year. I've basically put in a load of orders to 'finish' my collection and get what I want and then I'll crack on sand start to diminish the stash!
There should have actually been two more kits in that lot but there have been post issues meaning two kits have gone astray but I should be getting a refund for both.....and their are and another half dozen in the pipeline!
It is indeed Pete. Not sure why it's so big. This is actually a rebox of the Hasegawa Skyraider, which a have the dual combo version of and that has two kits in the box.
Interestingly though, it's a very big plane in real life. The wingspan of the 1/48 Raiden next to it is only 1-2cm more than the 1/72 Skyraider.
Thabks chaps!Comment
