Another that arrived today:

Back when Resicast announced it would cease trading, I ordered the kits I still really want to build from them, except for this kit, that was out of stock. Though there was some information about a possible final production run of it, I’ve only seen it marked out of stock since. But the other day, when looking for something else on a second-hand site, I came across the above kit, completely unbuilt. I made an offer of a bit less than the seller was asking, and so I’m now the owner of it for a fair amount less than what it would have cost from Resicast.Comment

First another second-hand purchase:

I need the tracks to finish a Dragon Israeli Sherman tank I started twenty years ago or so, but gave up on due to the tracks — which are the exact ones in this set. When I finally decided to finish it last year (or was it the one before?), I inadvertently glued the guide horns onto the links in the wrong place, but only discovered that when the glue was very firmly dry … Now somebody sold this set cheap, so I bought it to stick the tracks onto that model.
The book is an old but good one that I never got back in the day.
A second parcel brought new stuff:

This Panzer IV just struck my fancy, as something simple to build — it being Tamiya and not olive drab im colourThe tracks and tow cable set are for other things I have in mind, and the sets with rations boxes are just for generic use.

One of the spectacular sights of the Great Dorset Steam Fair is thirty to forty of these in a row all lit up. The heavy hauler circuit is pretty cool as well. This will be a lovely model all made up.Comment

Picked these up for £20. The Airfix M3 is a 1975 vintage but did come with an etch upgrade set and to be honest is my sort of kit. These simple kits give you plenty of scope to tweak and play with. The other is the Tamyia Centaur. This has been started and on a first impression looks ok. It to had some upgrade parts in the box.

OK chaps, so a 'few' more arrivals since my last set of arrivals earlier this month....
I would just like to point out that these did not come in one order AND my birthday is fast approaching, so one of these will have to wait until then!
You will also notice that some canopy masks excepted, I have returned wholeheartedly to the one true scale that is 1/72!!!

Not quite sure how it happened but I realised that I didn't have a Stuka in the stash and so had to correct that, as I'm sure you'd agree!!
If you have been managing to keep count of my recent arrivals, you will realise that I now have four of these in the stash.....meaning I can now do my planned 'cab rank' flight! Only £8.50 delivered thanks to some eBay earned Nectar loyalty points.
These are 1/72 Eureka Miniatures white metal British and German artillery/AA crews for my wargaming - catalogue shots below to help you see what they are.
There are:
- 2x British 25pdr crew – Set 1
- 1x German Summer 12cm Gw42 mortar and crew
- 1x German SS 8.8cm flak crew
- 2x German Hummel crew
- 1x German 2 cm Flak crew
- 2x British 17 pdr crew
Won this in an auction for a good price but on arrival discovered the included figure was missing - not that it's included in most boxings of this kit. Contacted the seller and they came back with a partial refund, so have the kit for a very good price!
Another large order from my favourite Polish shop....mostly masks and AM parts but one kit did sneak it's way in.
Then a lesson in not being patient.....and why I have two 25pdr kits......
....find a seller doing PSC Wargaming kits for 25% less than RRP...FAR cheaper than anyone else......rude not too of course.... :smiling5:
....but after almost two weeks I have heard nothing despite emails and phone calls....then I find a lot of bad reviews saying stuff has been ordered but never turned up.....
...so start the PayPal claim process and order replacements from other sellers for only a bit more, as I am confident I will never see the original order.....
...then, the very next day , the original seller comes back to say three of the four kits have shipped.....and the fourth is on order.....so I now have double coming...:surprised::cold-sweat:
Fortunately I have been able to cancel half the second order with one seller and am hoping I can cancel the outstanding kit on the first order, as I sourced a second one from elsewhere....I should be able to sell the 2nd 25pdr kit for a reasonable price too.
I know these kits have their faults but I have a really soft spot for them!
And finally....what is in the box will have to remain hidden until my birthday in a week's time....

I've done it before.... Badly....it was the first plane I did upon returning to the hobby. Thought it might be nice to have a go at doing another one and then the idea grew into doing a whole flight! Bonkers really!Comment
