I think a lot of the problem is buying them while they are still in production. I read some place that Airfix base the production run on expected sales. No point in making a million if they are only going to sell 50,000 so rather make 40,000 and if they sell bang some more out...

Just acquired this , my first trumpeter kit

      HMS Queen Elizabeth

She's not as detailed as Academy's Warspite but that's only due to it having less secondary armament , there is some pe but only for the RDF aerials and ladders

I popped into the LHS yesterday for some brass wire and plastic profiles... Came out with another Tamiya Mk VI/NFII and the Airfix XVI/PRXVI 1/48 scale Mosquitoes.

I had not only the new Me-262, but for some reason, gave into the urge to get some additions to the crew...

I like how the Bosses are goofing off and the shlubs are all working. Seem familiar? My wife and i were calling these guys the "loaft-waffe". Gee, I'd hate to think that this "war thing" was getting in the way, please sir, don't let me disturb your Sunday paper (lol).

Going for a forced perspective there Steve.

As for the crew figures. Its the same every where. Flyboys relaxing. Bosses reading something "important" and the ground crew sweating.
