Thanks Paul, yes the lid will be up and the side doors open as well as I intend to have the vehicle and crew working on and engine.

Sorry for not posting for a while, but I haven't been idle. This kit really does need some serious thought. The chassis cross braces had been fitted as per the instructions, only to find that the load bed would not fit and if I got it to sit down it was at an angle. So I had to remove the braces and repair any damage caused. They were then fixed to the load bed first and after marking out on the chassis where they should fit they were secured to the chassis.

The wheel chocks were re done as I wasn't happy with the first ones.

Then the deck was sprayed with wood, after this had dried hairspray was applied and dark yellow applied. I wanted to keep the wear and tear focused around the jib so the wear is primarily shown where the crew would walk the jib around.


I have filled the location points in the cab for the rear view mirrors as the pictures I have show them on the doors.



Some light dust and dirt was applied to the chassis rails

The vehicle is nearly there now a few things left to do but these will wait until its positioned on the base that I am still pondering. All the lifting and recovery tools have been assembled and fitted with a few improvements here and there.





Next up work starts on the Jib.
