Had my prostate removed Wednesday, back home Thursday, I can't believe this has happened so quick, won't be going in to work for the next 3 weeks, will be working from home, although I was replying to customers emails Wednesday night from my hospital bed 😁 there wasn’t much else to do and it took my mind off things.

I’m a bit sore today and walking around slowly, the hospital told me to book a PSA test with my doctors to be done in 5 weeks, I rang them and they said they can’t book that far ahead, I will have to ring next week and make an appointment with a doctor to discuss it with him, it’s not really an option as the consultant wants it, it’s daft how I can get an appointment for a major operation in a week, but can’t book a blood test, and it’s all over the media asking men to get checked

The Hospitals I’ve been to have all been fantastic and on the ball, I know they are over worked, but they do a brilliant job.

Fantastic news John.

My wife and I were amazed at how quickly her cancer was dealt with too. She was almost shell-shocked afterwards, as though it had all been a (terrible) dream.

Well hope the recovery is speedy as well and you’ll be back to fighting fit soon.

Once the hospital is involved it’s so fast, and has been frightening, by the time I was going in for the op I had had time to think about it, and just thought it needed to be done

Get well soon take it easy dave w

Glad things went well and so quickly. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

I'm another who was surprised by how quickly things went once the hospital was involved. My GP sent me to the hospital, cancer diagnosed and my operation was scheduled within 5 weeks. From my first contact with the hospital to my present three monthly check ups all staff have been absolutely marvellous.

That was a bit of a whirlwind, but it's done now. I'm no expert, but as the Dr's say, take it easy - and do as your told !

I think I first heard from the hospital on the 23rd March, Easter slowed things down but it’s still has gone fast.

Great news John and do what the Dr says!

When Julie was diagnosed, she had a call a day later from Velindre. Then the consultant rang two days later. The service and care was and continues to be first class.

All the best for a swift recovery

Bob julie

Fantastic John. I’m sure it will be fine going forward, but make sure you do what you are told 😁
