Lidl/Airfix kits...... I really wanted a gazelle but Im disappointed in the decal scheme as it's a civvie one but I'm sure I can find something suitable in the spares box to turn it into a RAF one

Only reason I got the comet is I'm pretty sure I've never done it

I like the retro box art

I need new kits like I need a hole in the head but the devil made me do it lol

Not exactly latest aquisitions as I rescued these from the attic as I was making space for other household items at the request of SWMBO.

be prepared to be blinded with a few piccies .....

I forgot I already had the Achilles ...... and have another being delivered tomorrow ..... that'll teach me to check before hitting the button .....

Arrived this morning Iwata Eclipse HP-CS Gravity Feed Dual Action Airbrush ECL4500.

Can't beat Iwata.

Miko, sick and tired of using acylics and all the problems you get with them. So spashed out on a load of Tamiya XF and the air brush. Still have my Neo .

Me too! although my choices were out of nostalgia, I'm quite new to airbrushing after decades of Humbrol enamels, they used to be good thirty years ago, but now, my Chinese Iwata knock off along with Tamiya and MrColor paint has improved my modelling enormously!

I could do with a Gazelle for my 'raspberry ripple' stash

Agreed. At the last count I had 13 of their spray guns, plus an Air Gunsa, their Italian made budget line.

I may have a problem

Good choice of airbrush John, I have two of them, one with a 0.35 needle and the other has the 0.5 installed.
Only things to watch out in my experience for are as follows
Firstly the trigger sticking on the tiny O ring that sits in the body above the air valve.
A drop of lube every now and then keeps it working nicely.
Secondly especially on the 0.35 is the large nozzle having paint build up inside it.
The 0.5 doesn't have the smaller (what looks like, but isn't) a screw in tip that the 0.35 does.
Best to clean the whole thing out, not just poke something through to clear the nozzle tip.

my last revell kit ended in the bin. bloody awful.

In this regard scalemates is your friend giving you the heritage of the kit, Tamiya rebox quite a few other kit brands, just like most of all the other kit giants

Miko (Hasegawa/Frog Lightning F6 was my first experience of a reboxing)
