discussion Andrew's Wooden Tower Bridge - in a day

Hi all

So something a bit different.....

So, I run a scale modelling group at the church I attend (have been for about 4 years) and normally we meet twice a month, on Monday evenings, but the first weekend of June we booked a room and had an all day session...starting at 9 and finishing just after 5.

My victim for the day was my work Secret Santa present from last Christmas......a wooden Tower Bridge.

Destructions and fit were excellent - fit almost too good at times - and all it needed was a bit of superglue. Over 100 pieces and a surprising amount of detail.

I managed to get it done in the day....just.....as the group had to tidy up around me whilst I finished!!!

Oh and the Duxford B17G did a fly past especially for us...sadly didn't get a photo.

I did that one a while ago, and I agree it's a great kit. I didn't need any glue. I fancy getting their "Big Ben" sometime. I wish they'd give it its proper name though.

Nice one andrew , im surprised how small it actually is , its very intricate . It must have been tiring though , all day building , you look a bit black under the eyes

That made me laugh....black under the eyes!!!

It was surprisingly intricate and some of the other '3D puzzles' as they call them, look really good.

Thanks guys. It does work well lit up and fortunately the wire across the middle and down the walk ways on the is not visible unless you're right overhead.
