Some further purchases for imminent delivery from Fields of Glory models.
Some more plaster cast buildings an some wall paper.
Photos at the end of the week.
Update ......... and here they are ......... disappointed

great looking model for my pushing back diorama ....... or so I thought .....

now ..... on both gable edges, I thought there would have continued the brickwork pattern round ........ but ..... no they have not.
aha I thought ...... the two gable ends ..... which are purchased separately will have the brick work on their ends ..... wishful thinking .
I opened up the package with the ends ..... and ..... the first thing I notice ..... one is broken ....

the other isn't ....

fair enough ...... then I note that not only are these two casts two different thicknesses ......

but neither have the brickwork detail on the edges to comply with the shop frontage. ..... poor on so many levels.
Not only that but the casts themselves have a very disappointing finish on the inside as well.

and there are a couple of other horrible extras etc ..... I'm not going to bother with more photo's of that .......
here is a rough idea of what it should look like .....

which shows the brickless finished edge.
Now I know I'm aspiring to be a modeller, and part of that will entail cleaning these things up and maybe scribing more detail in order to make the most of the base product but the inside of these casts will take more than a slight tidy up in order to get it to a position that it could accept Daler board etc to give a decent internal finish. between the front cast and the side walls its not a kick in the arse of £40.00.
In fairness I have not contacted them as yet to explain the issue and to get their response. I'm not long in the door. I'll try phoning them first but imagine I'll need to go to the bother of sending them images etc.
anyway ...... next up .....

This is not for my Pushing Back diorama ..... I just fancied it for the future....

This is block / stone instead of brick and the casts match .....
