I’m looking to paint some aircraft seats.
They are leather cushioned in brown.
ive seen technique using dark brown and tan but this is usually better when the plastic part has some form of ripple mould into the plastic.
my cushion is plane flat so any effects will need to be painted in.
I was wondering if anyone has any tips on painting the effect!

For brown leather, paint a base coat of light tan matt. Then make a wash from a darker brown matt and with a fine detail brush pick out the creases and any piping by touching the part and allowing the wash to flow by capillary action into those areas. allow to dry and use brush over completely with a light brown waterproof drawing ink. This will impart a leather like sheen when it dries.
Same technique can be used for other colour leathers.
