Hello fellow Modelers

I have just joined and thought it would be a good idea to introduce myself. I currently live in Townsville, Australia and have recently started building scale models; I started in July 2015 and have built about 50 models. I build fast and need to learn how to slow down. Scale Modelling helps me to stay mentally fit and I love it!

I fell one I have built about a 100 models I will move on to more advanced techniques, but till then I buy only cheap model kits and just have a crack at each one just trying to get the basics right.

I also post on other forums as well and have really been following Scale Model Forums for a while now and have made the decision to join up and give it a go!

I am a serving member of the Australian Defence Force and henceforth would like to keep my identity anonymous, you all can just call me Builder! I kind of like it better than Digger (any Aussie members out there will understand the reference).

I like to build all kinds of models, I feel by changing subjects I dont loose interest. I build AFV, Aircraft, Cars, SciFi and would love to give Railway modelling, Bikes and Ships a crack sometime in the future too.

In any case I hope you all enjoy my build here on Scale Model Forums.

Here are a few current and completed builds of mine

Currently building this: the Tamiya 1/72 Mil Mi 24 Hind

Revell 1/25 Impala

I hope you guys enjoyed the pics and intro, as hopefully there should be many builds to follow!

Well first off, Welcome to the forum I hope that you will enjoy it here.

Understand that you wish to remain "no-named" but surly a first name could do no harm. Unless that is you have a very outstanding first name. I might suggest that you consider adopting the name Bob. As is Bob the builder. A little bit more personal that builder, we are all pretty much on first name terms here.

Looks like we (the forum) are picking up a few members from the land of Aus Good to have another one on the list.

Now you say that you are a newbie at this....and build quick and simple. The models you have posted in you intro are really rather good and if that is a sing of things to come you are going to be really good.

Slowing down is easy. As the shelves fill up the builds slow down and the "stash" grows! LOL.

I'll sod off now and let someone else get a word in.

Thanks all I have taken your advice and decided to keep the name Bob. Bob the Builder! I should have my first Build up today as well (in one of the SIG's or GB's!)

Hi Bob there's plenty to learn all sorts of weird and wonderful techniques to master.

I have no room at all for built models so I build slowly I try to pick a subject that will use a new technique so I can try something new each build.
