Scale Model Shop

Latest Acquisitions (2019)

Bought these 3 as I fancied something easy to do after finishing a couple of more demanding builds.IMG_20190226_193654.jpg

Certainly is Si. It'll stand nicely next to the Me262 B-1/U1 Nightfighter i got last week

SWMBO wanted to go shopping in Leamington today, and this just jumped into my hands:

This arrived week ago, not bad for £10 , less 1p Saves having brushes all touching in a jar .

John .

This is a Wright 3350 oil diffuser, fits on the prop shaft for even lubrication. Also makes a nifty brush holder with space in the middle for a thinner can:cool:

A rear thing happened today. Well two actually.
A new hobby shop opened today, nowt but a fifteen minuet drive from home. So we went and had a look.
90% of it was "lady hobbies", card making, patchwork and other such dark arts... But hidden in the corner was the "husbands bit". Not much but a single wall with a small selection of model kits. Some Humbrol paints and a few other "brands" that I avoid. Glass bottles with metal lids. Use once and never to open again!!!
But none the less a good shop to have locally. Glue, brushes, filler close at hand! Yeah!
One thing did catch my eye and i shamelessly took advantage of the 20% opening discount.

Been looking for one for a while, so I thought why not.

£23.44? Don't mind if i do! Evilbay strikes again

I'm with you Al as I love evilbay too! Another Kitty for the stash and it's really a 2 in 1 kit as you get the regular turret parts and gun to build a "D" if you want...……

Ah! The good old Fergie. I learned how to drive on one of these way back in my mis-spent youth and, more importantly, how to reverse with a trailer. Happy days.

Nice cat Jon, My oldest daughter had a kitty like that...she named it Camo.
Cheers Mate, Rick H.

very nice kit,Jon,and do love the moggy,as Jakko, said the mini art figures are good, have used them alot,
and look,camo,waiting for the box,to sit in,:smiling:

Mini Art also make very good figures to go into that, one set of sitting men and women and a set with tram crew and some passengers.
Hi Jakko. Those figures are included.Along with a length of street and benches, street lamps
etc.

I went to a car and model show/swapmeet today and picked up a new release Tamiya Ford GT and just for fun an old AMT Munster Koach complete with cardboard backdrop

Rick, it comes with what they call a full color cardboard display. The base is cobblestone and the backdrop is the house and yard. It also has the cardboard Munster figures which stand up behind the car. It's really cool but, the only problem I see is that they put blue skies against a semi-monocromic backdrop. I think a stormy sky in the same tone would have been better

Postie has just delivered this.................................
I rather like unusual subjects - this qualifies - Soviet vehicle, with 4 early ant-tank missiles mounted on the back. Baby Carriage, because the folding rear cover looked like a pram!
Needless to say, I got this at a good price..................
Dave
It looks great Dave! I do like odd-ball subjects even if it's called a 'Baby Carriage'!
