Had a great time at the show it was well supported by clubs and traders. met up with the Firestarter (Mr Race) and Ben (Yambam26) and his lovely girlfriend who is also catching the bug. I have to thank john for his gift of some home grown sea grass.
I was very happy to get a second place for my Dragon Wagon especially given the high quality of the builds across the tables.
One thing we were talking about was the possibility of these shows reserving a couple of tables for people who are not affiliated to a particular club but would like to turn up on the day and show their builds perhaps for a small fee. Perhaps I should contact IPMS and get their thoughts but first what do you guys think?
Unfortunately I didn't get any photos but John took quite a few so hopefully he will post them later.

Did JR remember to hold his phone properly...Matron probably wasn't there to help him with it.:tongue-out2::tongue-out3: Lol!
Glad you all had a good time Scottie. I wish I could have been there. Cheers Mate, Rick H.

Thank you all, one thing I did notice was a fair amount of youngsters at the show which has to be a good sign.

Excellent reporting there John. Some intimidatingly good work on show. Good to see a few familiar pieces - well done to Scottie (deserved gold though).

Great to see you all had a wonderful day at the show. Thanks for sharing the photos. A well deserved result on the competition Scottie :thumb2:

P.S Everyone is a youngster compared to you mate. So are we talking 50+ or sub 50??:smiling3::smiling5::cool:

:smiling2::smiling2: Thank you Steve for making me feel so well  Good to see you back, hope you had a good break. As for the age group I meant both, there were of course the middle aged group, but I was pleased to see a fair few youngsters. Under 20 ish. I of course can't remember that time myself:thinking:

If you have a look in the history books I am sure the memories will come flooding back :smiling5:

Seriously mate you have done some wonderful work while I have been away. Great to be back in with the banter. Take care my friend

Pau!, I read your post asking about individuals booking tables. Normally it is up to the individual show organiser involved. IPMS as an organisation does not get involved with any of this at local show level, although it may be one of their local branches organising the show. Try contacting any local show organisers direct with your proposals would be my advice.

Thanks Noel, I will look into it. Just out of interest how many of you on here that are not affiliated to any clubs that would like the opportunity to show your builds to the wider public?

I would Paul, I'd would set up and then make out they weren't mine :upside::smiling3:
John .

Unfortunately I missed Peterborough but heard since it was a really good show. Any of you guys going to Milton Keynes Modelkraft show at our new venue on 28th April? If any of you live within reasonable distance from MK, try looking in on one of our club nights if you have not been already. We are a friendly bunch who love our hobby but don't take ourselves too seriously!
