Afternoon

I am going to have a go a making tarps, now whats a typical colour please?
Black, light or dark grey?

Thanks bob

For a German vehicle/setting? I would probably go for a grey/green variation. US or Allied, a khaki or drab colour.

But in generally I think anything would suit as they would have picked up whatever they could find

Hi Bob,
I don't think it really matters dark greens/ browns, khaki. I usually just go for a bit of a contrast to the vehicle base just so it adds a bit of interest. As Jack said they would have used what ever they found to keep the rain and dirt of their stowage.

Thanks both

Better cancel orange or pink then :tongue-out3:

Excellent thanks Gary!

I usually make mine Feldgrau - as that would have been prod for most things in Germany at the beginning of the war.
And I also agree, if it wasn't nailed down, they would have borrowed it.
Without proper winter gear for first Russian winter, they used white sheets, anything they could for camo/covering
