I've been spending the day looking through completed projects and I am so impressed!

Clearly my level is woefully short, but I'm an optimist and some of the tips on here are so helpful.
I've a 1:48 Stuka winking at me at present, however I've now ordered some bits from the SMS, and I'm currently collating tweezers, files, filler and so on so I can give it my best shot..
I've clearly a long way to go but it's a breath of fresh air knowing I can look up some pointers on here before I go wading in half cocked ..
All and any advice gratefully accepted in advance and I hope none of you mind if I pick your brains every now and then!

Del. There are some very talented modellers on here (i'm not included). Most, if not all, are willing to impart advice and solutions to any problems you may encounter.

No-one will ever bash someone's ability on here. Modelling is a hobby/fun activity. So doing it where, how and when you want is your choice. If you seek critique on your build then any advice given will be in the 'constructive' nature. That's how this forum is run and always will be done so.

So what i'm trying to say is. Take your time and do it to your best ability at the time. We all improve (for the most part) with every kit we build.

The main thing is to have fun and do whatever you want with your model.

1/48 scale is a great place to start Del. As time passes me buy I find the smaller 1/72 stuff more challenging, bordering on micro surgery at times. Looking forward to seeing your results. Just a quick tip. Keep the Superglue away from the perspex parts. It will lead to heartache.

The very reason i am working in 1/32 these days. I even find 1/48 scale sometime too fiddly for my arthritic fat fingers lol

Del, we have all discovered in life that not all are born Leonardo Da Vinci's...present included so we rely on each others strengths and ask questions to the brink of sounding like Polly the parrot but that's ok...there will be a helpful answer.:smiling2: So give your Stuka your best shot, I'm sure it's gonna look good.
