Latest Acquisitions (2020)

Hi Andy, i am using the AK citrus because tamiya thin gives me headaches and does pong a bit, impressed with it!

Speaking of CA i bought from John the VMS CA and found it to be very good

Andy, let me know how you get on w/Pink Zap. I use the Green as I couldn't get the hang of the Pink. It is FAST. PaulE

That's good to hear Bob, I'll be trying it out this afternoon.

Thanks for the warning Paul. I got it mainly for wicking into baking soda as a filler, but will exercise caution.

And yet more CA! My thin one has welded itself into the bottle, and I've heard good things about the gap filling one.

Hey Andy, keep it in the fridge (if you can get away with it......)
It's great stuff when it works, but that's a lot of it to go solid

Thanks Neil. I wondered if the super hot temperatures in their lately had affected it.

Sounds like a great excuse for a beer fridge in the shed.... :smiling5:

I'm 75% through my Stug IV and making a decision on what to do next is tricky.............
Got two kits for fathers' day and bought myself the Porsche but not ordered the paint for it yet, the other two I think can be linked together but not sure?

You could hang the 7,5 cm PaK 40 behind the Sd.Kfz. 251, sure. It was not the normal prime mover for it, but it would be used at times.

Late delivery from postie: ebay winnings

The Revell model is the ICM release reboxed ( and cheaper! ) Exactly the same, but the instructions are better!
I'm awaiting the Admiral Cabriolet to complete the set....................

A`noon Chaps,
Well, after deciding to branch out the stash to include a more diverse look, nationality wise,i`ve bought way too many kits in the last 3-4 weeks!!:anguished:,
HOWEVER,this Italian offering has jumped right to the top of my "wanna do next" list,i`ve been wanting one for quite a few years now,and they`re pretty hard to come by! I admit to getting caught up in a bit of an EBay Bid fest, but i got one at last!
The box is rammed with bits,i`m going to start blogging it shortly,so you`ll see what i mean then.
In the mean time, here`s the Italian`s answer to the LRDG problem that they were experiencing in Africa..........

I`m rather chuffed with the kit,and can`t wait to get stuck in!!
Cheers,
Andy

Today the postie dropped off these two 'damaged' books, tbf cant see anything wrong with either off them except a bit of grime on the base of the spines.

And how to paint 1/72 military vehicles down from £17.99 to £7.99

Steve

Like the look of the book. How did you get it so cheap. It's now £16......

Really? I bought one of these (the same version as yours, with the extra resin parts) new in a shop last year. Not built it yet, but I think I’ve also seen it since in the other shop in my almost-local area that stills sells kits.

I’ll keep an eye out, because I also would like to build it one of these days :)

Hi Jakko,
Really? You`ve obviously got much better shops to hand than me! I also saw that most of the places i looked at on line were out of stock too.........guess it`s just a place of "Right place,Right time"!

Probably more luck than anything else. Neither of the two is really a model shop, and I got this kit with a good discount when one of them was selling off all its non-Revell stock last year.
