Latest Acquisitions (2020)

Jakko - thanks for the tip on the translator app. I have a book on T34's in Israel, written by a Russian living in Israel. Purchased the last copy direct from the author - he only had a Russian version left so this will be a big help

my purchasing borders on the insane so I only tend to post the odd one every now and again

Had an UM moment this week and these arrived yesterday
Nothing wrong with a UM moment strangely nearly bought the marder 3 myself the other day lots to go at at in panzer gray plus what a great looking machine Dave.

Nice assortment of rolling stock.........even a couple of prehistoric stack packs!! Should add some interest! I'll look forward to seeing these go together in the future. Rick H. :thumb2:

Looks good Lee. They will come to life when you work your magic on them.

Nothing as exciting delivered to Race Towers as the above, but found some sable brushes in a set which should suit figure painting.

Think I have used this manufacture before, made in Germany. Not cheap by any means.

Some nice small handles and the brush heads look good.

I have some Da Vinci Maestro Kolinsky Sable Series 10 Rounds i use for figure painting and they are superb, hold their shape excellently, prefer them to my W&N brushes.

Thanks Steve, comparing them today to the W&N I agree, love the shortness of the handle and the anti roll. They feel just right to hold.

Thanks John & team for the speedy delivery!

Just a few colours for upcoming builds, plus a first stab at pigments.

I come from a land Downunder ...

Modellers crow then make blunders
Airbrush clogged while spraying umber
I'd better start, better start all over

Some time ago I bought one of the Chinese clones of Optivisor, but couldn't get on with it. Yesterday I picked this up from Axminster Tools:

I can wear it over my normal bifocals, although I wouldn't want to for long periods. It comes with a headband as an option instead of the side arms, and the 5 lenses come in a robust case with a cleaning cloth included. It's much nicer to use than the Optivisor style, and the light is really useful. Cost a bit under £20.

Let me know how you get on with it. I've got a Chinese clone and although it's ok, I'm on the looking for something better for when it needs replacing.
