Most important delivery from Amazon this afternoon here at Race Towers.

Ordered yesterday !

Kacsoo Laboratory Liquid Vortex Mixer

Had a play , wow 4000 rpm . just place the tip of the bottle of paint down on the top and off it goes. Tried a bottle of Vallejo that was at least 4 years old and had been standing.( Not the one in the photo)
Most impressed, with in seconds the true colour filled the bottle, before there was a line of clear liquid with the pigment below.
Thanks To Tim Marlow for the recommendation of using a vortex style mixer. :thumb2::thumb2::thumb2:
Blimey!! Think i need to get me one of those :thumb2: !!
I have SO many Vallejo paints that have been stood for longer than i care to admit!
Thanks for the heads up John....... and Tim of course!!;)

Andy whether it will improve my painting is another matter, but if mixing like this does stops crud from getting on the needle then it will be worth it. :smiling3:

Looks like a magic thing as its called a touch fairy vortexer, looked it up on Amazon, £69, to rich for my blood I'm afraid. I'll stick to using my right hand, no dirty comments please.

Interestingly most sites call them the dancing fairy mixer.........

I know they are not cheap, but as a sufferer of Rheumatoid Arthritis I find my lab shaker indispensable. In addition, I think twenty seconds on the mixer is equivalent to at least five minutes mixing by hand and gives a much more uniform result. In a typical painting hour it probably gives me an additional fifteen to twenty minutes working time. After all, I’d rather paint than shake bottles any day Of the week........

I must be honest though, some of the tattoo ink mixers at thirty pounds less look awfully similar.....

I must say that when i commented i hadn`t looked them ..........
..... and yes, they`re quite expensive compared to what i was expecting  :anguished:!!
However,i`d still like one.............,but it won`t be anytime soon.......... too much money i`m afraid, especially being self employed in these, now,VERY uncertain,times.....:rolling:!!
Guess the time i get when i`m not using my hands doing "Worky stuff" will be useful for shaking my wrists!!!!:tears-of-joy::tears-of-joy:,

The price might seem high but at my age I'm determined not to pay out any more tax when I stick my last bit of plastic ! I'd rather spend it now :smiling2:
No doubt the daughters will hold a grand sale .

Just ordered a look a like from Wish, a tattoo ink shaker at £25 inc. P&P using PayPal so costs covered if it is in any way dodgy.

Looking forward to not using my old sander as a paint mixer

Steve,

Let me know how it turns out of you don't mind.

I had a voucher for Christmas so bought this 1:32 ICM model. First model in this scale and I do like the bi-planes although I’ve always struggled with the wings so hoping the larger scale might make it a little easier or not
