Yes the barn you mentioned is the one I made and is the piccie I posted, called 101st airborne lost in the French countryside on the night before D Day. Like I said don't be afraid of using led lighting and even fibre optics. The electronics are very simple and they can all run from a 9 volt battery. The only challenge is finding places to hide the wires as you connect them up. The cost of leds is minimal and you can find everything you might need on many railroad modelling sites like this one Hobby LEDs for Model Trains, RC, Diecast - Home

Good luck sir.

With regards to your up and coming event

Will there be reserved parking space for me StuG, sorry unable to bring a ship as its a swine to do a three point turn

Hi John
I got the name wrong. It wasn’t by Shep Paine, it was by a guy called Ernie Mirfin. The book is about a dozen years old (Osprey, Displaying your model) so the dio may well pre-date mass digital photography. I therefore couldn’t find much of anything about it on the net, but there is a bit on this site.....

Indeed there will be Bob, the only request is that you don't frighten the guys having a meal by driving through the wall to get a better look. Doubt you'd get the ship in the pond.

Many thanks Tim, I've had a informative read through, certainly like the idea of the floor etc set at an angel. Have some ideas on the lighting, and some more having looked at the clock repairer with the light coming into the room. All in all think this is going to be a longish project.
Again thank you for noticing JB's fine work, that will be a hard one to follow !
The construction of the box shouldn't be a problem, it's just getting everything else right :smiling2::smiling2:
